Product Information: Pligun® HyREZIST® 2700 is a 50% alumina gun mix. Engineered for strength and abrasion resistance, the modified matrix includes calcined super duty aggregate and medium purity calcium aluminate cement. As a product from the HyREZIST family, the material possesses many of the same physical characteristics and attributes as other HyREZIST castables and gun mixes, including:
- Moderate density
- Very good strength: cold and hot, from room temperature thru intermediate temperatures <2000°F
- Very good, consistent abrasion resistance though the range <10cc @ 1500°F
- Low iron content for use in reducing environments
- Good volume stability
- Good thermal cycling resistance
- Good gunability and low rebound
While primarily designed for low to intermediate temperature use, Pligun HyREZIST 27000 performs similarly to conventional super duty gunning castables above 2000°F to its service limit, making this a versatile and economic product option for numerous applications.
