Product Information: Pli-Shot™ Si-Bond™ M is a mullite-based, no cement, shotcrete material. Developed with optimized chemistry and mineralogy, this material was engineered for enhanced performance at elevated temperatures above 2000°F. Superior hot strength performance above 2000°F, this product performs great in highly corrosive environments and also works well in a wide range of applications. Material must be used in conjunction with Plibrico’s sodium silicate activator. Product advantages include:
- Superior hot strengths at 2000°F and above compared to low and ultra-low cement refractory materials
- Good abrasion resistance
- Low porosity
- Good thermal shock resistance
- Great resistance to alkali and slag attack
- Less sensitive to colder weather installations
