Product Information: Plicast®️ HyMOR®️ APS 55 KK is a very economical 56% alumina low cement castable. This castable combines a high mullite matrix with a super duty aggregate. Originally designed for aluminum furnace upper walls and roofs, this material has fantastic hot strength and great alkali resistance, making it ideal for a variety of industrial application. Other product attributes include:
- Great strength – cold and hot
- Low abrasion loss – 10 cc per ASTM C704
- Good volume stability and moderate thermal expansion
- Alkali vapor resistant
- Thermal cycling resistant
- Plicast HyMOR APS 55 KK has good flow and setting characteristics allowing it to be place by vibration, casting or pumping.
