Product Information: Plicast®️ HyMOR®️ 80 C KK is an 80% alumina low cement castable. Utilizing a bauxite aggregate system with an alumina enhanced matrix, and a super coarse grain sizing, this castable has improved impact and thermal shock resistance as compared to Plicast HyMOR 3100 KK. Originally intended for higher temperature applications in the steel industry, Plicast HyMOR 80 C KK strength profile and fracture resistance characteristics make it ideal for many different applications. Other product attributes include:

  • Hot strength at over a wide temperature range
  • Low abrasion loss
  • Good resistance to impact fracture
  • Improved thermal shock resistance
  • Plicast HyMOR 80 C KK has good flow and setting characteristics allowing it to be place by vibration, casting or pumping
