Product Information: Plicast® HyMOR 3100 KK is an 80 % alumina, low cement castable. This material utilizes a high quality bauxite aggregate system with an alumina enhanced matrix. Engineered for higher temperature applications in the steel industry, it’s strength profile, fracture resistance, and other characteristics make it ideal for many other applications. These characteristics include:
- Hot strength at over a wide temperature range
- Good resistance to acid to neutral slags
- Alkali vapor resistance
- Low abrasion loss < 6cc per ASTM C704
- Good density and low porosity
- Good thermal shock and fracture resistance
Plicast HyMOR 3100 KK is very versatile allowing it to be place by vibration, casting or pumping.
