Product Information

Pligun® SiC HP8 is an 80% silicon carbide, high performance gun mix.   This product was developed to meet the demanding specifications for waste incineration boiler tube sheet refractory.   Independently evaluated against other competitive materials, Pligun SiC HP8 achieved and excelled in many areas including:

  • High mechanical strength – both hot and cold
  • High thermal conductivity
  • Relatively low abrasion loss
  • Resistance to acid slag corrosion
  • Good gunability and low rebound
